OVERVIEW.
The Johannesburg Blind Football Association (JBFA) is dedicated to promoting and developing blind football in South Africa, providing visually impaired athletes with opportunities to engage in competitive sports. Recently, the national men's team, known as Amagombinyoni, achieved remarkable success at an international blind football friendly tournament in Russia. Despite limited resources and only three days of training, the team secured a victory against Belarus and earned accolades such as Team of the Tournament, Breakthrough Coach of the Tournament for Mlungisi Jack Msibi, and Player of the Tournament for defender Koketso Titus. This accomplishment highlights JBFA's commitment to fostering talent and inclusivity in sports, empowering athletes to excel on both national and international stages.
